The first step to install Joomla! from the eXtend Control Panel is to login to your control panel. To do so you can go to
http://controlpanel.e-noise.com/ or to the address you have set up in the domain manager (
http://controlpanel.yourdomain.com by default). Your login details are your domain name and the password you received by e-mail when setting up the hosting account. If you don't know your password please contact our support team.
Once we access the control panel you will see two links pointing to the CGI/PHP script library. This is where you will find all the available scripts, including Joomla! CMS.
Click on either link and then scroll down the list until you see Joomla! CMS.
Click on the "Install" button to proceed to installation process.
Type in the name of the directory where you want to install Joomla! or leave blank if you want to install it in the web root (ie:
http://www.domain.com/).
Before you click on the "Install Now" button please make sure that the destination directory is empty. When a hosting account is created there is a file called index.html in the root directory, so if you want to install Joomla! in such directory please delete that file first, this can be done using the "File Manager" within the eXtend Control Panel.
If everything goes well you should be seeng something like this:
Click "Next" in the "Pre-Installation Check" page and then again in the license page and you will get to first configuration page.
Here you don't need to change any settings as they have already been pre-filled with the correct information for a new installation. Click "Next".
Here you need to give a name to your site. This can be modified later as needed, so at first it is not very important.
The only thing you need to worry about at this stage is type in your e-mail address and the admin password. This information is very importand as you will need later in order to access your site's administration console. You can leave the URL and Path as they have already been pre-filled. Click on "Next" and you should see something like:
Now your Joomla! installation should be ready to go. In this screen we are given the option to either visit the site or the administration console.
